Bio
Gabriel was born in Texas to a Mexican family and grew up speaking Spanish at home. At age 6, his family moved to New Orleans shortly after Hurricane Katrina and made New Orleans their home. He went to the Willow School in New Orleans for High School and Tulane University for his BA. At Tulane, he double majored in International Relations and Economics with minors in Latin American Studies and Philosophy. He also learned how to speak Portuguese during his undergrad and became fluent during a study abroad program in São Paulo, Brazil. He aspires to go back to school and become an attorney so he can better serve his community.
In his free time, he likes to cook, camp, kayak, and dance cumbia.
